Getting to and from the airport
Both the international and domestic terminals are a 20 minute drive from the city centre depending on the time of day.
There are various transport options available to the city centre including taxis (approx $25-35), airport shuttle (first person $22, $6 per person thereafter) and Flyer Bus ($9).
By Sea
Two main ferry options let clients travel easily between the North and South Island:
The Interislander takes approximately 3 hours and offers either passenger or car services. In the peak season there are 5 trips a day between Wellington and Picton.
Bluebridge offers passenger and car ferry services up to 4 times a day.
By Rail
There are local train services operating between Wellington City and Kapiti Coast, Wairarapa and the Hutt Valley.
However, if clients want to go further afield they can get the Northern Explorer, which runs through the North Island up to Auckland regularly.
Getting Around Wellington
Getting around Wellington City is easy by foot. However, Go Wellington buses also provide an option to get around the city and to surrounding areas.
The Cable Car takes clients from the city up to the Carter Observatory and Botanic Gardens.
Clients can also cruise the harbour on the local ferry service.
