As of November 2022, on average most New Zealand visitor visa applications are processed within 13 weekdays (Monday to Friday), with Immigration New Zealand aiming to process applications in 20 weekdays excluding public holidays. Just 1 in 10 applications are taking longer than 60 weekdays.

To help speed up processing times, Immigration New Zealand recommends ensuring all requested information is provided with the application and to avoid supplying unrequested information – this will only slow processing down.
