Changes to New Zealand Immigration Fees and Levies

Autumn colours near Arrowtown, Otago region

From 11.59pm on Sunday 31st July 2022, New Zealand Immigration fees and levies will increase for most visa applications.

Visitor visas however will remain at the current price of NZD 246; this price includes the International Visitor Conservation and Tourism Levy (IVL) which remains the same at NZD 35.

There is an increase in cost for the New Zealand Electronic Travel Authority (NZeTA). This is for requests made both on the Immigration New Zealand website and via the mobile app.

Visa applications submitted before 31st July 2022 will be exempt from the fee and levy increase. The cost for these applications will remain the same as when the application was submitted and paid for, and no further fees or levies will be incurred on top of this.

For more information about the new fees and levies, please visit the Immigration New Zealand website(opens in new window).
