Winter sports enthusiasts looking to ski or snowboard in New Zealand will be pleased to discover several world-class ski resorts across the motu (country). In the middle of the North Island there’s Mt Ruapehu, while the South Island lays claim to five excellent ski fields including Coronet Peak, close to the ever-popular Tāhuna Queenstown.
