Tourism New Zealand gave winners an opportunity to discover the country’s culture, scenery and nature
Last month, Tourism New Zealand brought down 32 lucky travel sellers to Aotearoa New Zealand on a fully hosted global incentive famil. Each of the travel sellers won their place on the famil by engaging with Tourism New Zealand’s travel trade channels as part of the current If You Seek campaign.
The sellers who from the USA, UK, Germany, Australia, India, Korea, Singapore and Japan, became immersed in all things New Zealand throughout their trip, experiencing the wide range of activities that the motu (country) has to offer both travel sellers and their clients.
After a moving pōwhiri (welcome ceremony) at the Piritahi Marae and delicious dinner at Batch Winery on Waiheke Island, the travel sellers split off into three groups, getting the chance to explore different regions from the top of Te Ika-a-Māui (the North Island) to the middle of Te Waipounamu (the South Island).
Ziplining through native forest, sipping wine at world-class cellar doors, cycling picturesque biking trails, seeing unique wildlife in their natural habitats and feeling the thrill of an exhilarating jetboat ride are just some of the highlights.
To inspire other travel sellers to come and feel the spirit of manaakitanga (a deep expression of hospitality) for themselves, the travel trade team joined some of the travel sellers as they travelled around the country. From this, we’ve created a bespoke playlist on our YouTube channel and shared three itineraries that follow in the footsteps of those winning travel sellers.
