Do you have clients travelling to Aotearoa New Zealand to watch the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023™? The New Zealand government recommend travellers apply for relevant visitor visas by the end of April 2023. Manuhiri (visitors) are also encouraged to put in their request for an NZeTA early to ensure it is processed prior to travel. It is important that if visitors intend to travel in and out of New Zealand, to watch games in Australia for example, they must indicate they want a multiple entry visa on application.
The processing teams are working closely with FIFA and general ticket sales in order to anticipate which countries are likely to have a high demand for visas. The following non-visa waiver countries will have teams based in Aotearoa during the group stage of the tournament and are where the processing team will focus most of their efforts: Costa Rica, Philippines, South Africa, Vietnam, and Zambia.
