FIFA Women's World Cup 2023

Aotearoa New Zealand is proud to co-host the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 and celebrate the sport’s best female footballers as they showcase their skills and talent to a global audience. The tournament will be the largest women’s sporting event in the world with all 64 matches played over 32 days broadcasted live.

This will be a tournament of firsts: the first time that 32 teams will be competing. The first time that the women’s tournament will be hosted in the southern hemisphere. And the first time that it will be co-hosted by two nations across nine cities including Auckland, Hamilton, Wellington and Dunedin.

Kicking off on 20th July 2023, Aotearoa New Zealand welcomes friends, whānau, and fans to this trailblazing event, embracing the chance to showcase our culture to the world: our stories, our people, and our unique spirit of manaakitanga. This is history in the making!
