Skiing and riding in New Zealand differs from many other areas in the world because accommodation and entertainment are at nearby resort towns rather than on-mountain.

This enables your clients to weave other activities such as jet boating, wine-tasting and scenic walks into their snow sports holiday. The Ski Tourism Marketing Network can help you discover the full range of options on and off-mountain for your clients.

The Ski Tourism Marketing Network is made up of some of New Zealand’s premier ski resorts and snow sports playgrounds, plus their adjacent regional areas.

  • Members include resorts in both the North and South Islands
  • They also have marketing tools and information, such as images and specific travel trade collateral, to help sell their products

Collectively the network combines resources to promote a winter skiing holiday through advertising and public relations work to raise consumer demand. This work is primarily focused on Australia because it provides the largest volume of current visitors.  However the network recognises the potential of other markets to deliver skiers and riders to New Zealand.
