Ramada, Wyndham Hotel Group – new properties planned
New Zealand will have three new Ramada hotels in 2015. The Ramada Suites Christchurch City, Ramada Hotel and Suites Remarkable Park in Queenstown, and Ramada Lakeside Resort and Spa continue Wyndham Hotel Group’s expansion of the brand throughout the South Pacific. The 44 apartment Ramada Suites Christchurch City will be at 264-266 Tuam Street, Christchurch and will offer a mix of studios, one and two-bedroom apartments as well as an onsite café. The NZ$12.5 million hotel is scheduled to open by early 2015.
Construction will also soon commence on Ramada Hotel and Suites Remarkable Park in Queenstown, a 54 apartment NZ$25 million development adjacent to the planned Remarkable Park’s multi-million dollar convention centre. Scheduled for completion in December 2015, Ramada Hotel and Suites Remarkable Park will offer hotel rooms, studio, one and two-bedroom apartments. 
A third development, Ramada Lakeside Resort and Spa Rotorua is also in early stages of development and is expected to open in December 2015. The NZ$18.5 million development will be a mix of 68 hotel rooms and one and two-bedroom apartments. It will feature a geothermal health spa, onsite restaurant and bar, swimming pool and conference facilities. 
Hertz – new vehicle
Hertz now offers Lexus ES300h Hybrid vehicles in the New Zealand fleet, as part of the Hertz Prestige Collection. The fuel-efficient Lexus ES300h vehicles will be located at all major airports and cities around the country, and are available for short and long term rentals. 


EcoZip Adventures, Waiheke Island – new tour 
EcoZip has teamed up with Peacock Sky Vineyard to offer a ‘Zip & Sip’ tour. The tour includes return ferry tickets, all on-island transfers, the award-winning EcoZip Adventures experience, and a range of ‘Sip’ options to cater for varying budgets.

Gold Discovery Centre – new product
Waihi's Gold Discovery Centre is a 500m2, architecturally-designed and nationally significant visitor attraction housing an interactive gold discovery exhibition and i-SITE visitor’s centre. Te Aroha Landing and Hobbiton Movie SetTM Packages
Accommodation property Te Aroha Landing has partnered with Hobbiton Movie SetTM to offer two new travel packages: Dews on the Grass and Dusk on the Shire. Packages include accommodation at Te Aroha Landing, entry to Te Aroha Mineral Spas, a visit to the Adrian Worsley Gallery, a selection of Southfarthing beverages and a private tour of Hobbiton Movie SetTM – with Dew on the Grass being an early morning tour and Dusk on the Shire being an end of the day tour.


Rotorua Canopy Tours – new tour
Rotorua Canopy Tours is now 2 years old and making a strong impact in environmental themed guided tourism. Guests can now hand feed wild native New Zealand birds. They also offer a number of specialised tours including behind the scenes conservation tours, dawn tours, night tours and bird release tours. For high end clients or family groups these private tours are a must do!
Millennium Hotel Rotorua – refurbishment
Upgrades to rooms at Millennium Hotel Rotorua have been met with positive reviews from both leisure and corporate guests. ‘Guests tell us our new Elegance Plush Top beds are one of the highlights of their stay,’ says general manager Pipiana Whiston. She says the smart new rooms will all be completed ready for the summer high season. The hotel facilities have also been revamped. The stone work around the pool and Cha Bar areas has been updated and there is a new look for the hotel’s garden.


Kahikatea Gardens – new product
Kahikatea Gardens have been in the Montgomerie family for three generations. Visitors can now enjoy a guided tour around the garden and orchard. In the paddock adjacent to the garden there is a special area for visitors to interact with the animals including sheep, miniature horses, alpacas and donkeys. After the guided tour visitors can enjoy a delicious morning or afternoon tea inside the Montgomerie family home. 


Intercontinental Wellington
InterContinental Hotel Wellington has opened its transformed lobby, lounge bar and restaurant, the penultimate stage of the property’s current multi-million dollar refurbishment. Guests entering through a new, traditional hotel-style revolving door are greeted by grand lighting features and massive fireplace, a seated concierge desk, new reception area and a white lit lobby lounge bar that features one of the most extensive drinks menus in the country. Gold leaf-like ceiling panels, white décor and a blend of leather, timber and white marble-like stone furniture complete a shiny yet textured ambience. With the transformation of the Club InterContinental Lounge, creation of new Club InterContinental guest rooms and a newly-defined deluxe guest room category also completed, the final refurbishment stage will now attend to  the hotel’s level one meeting spaces.


Abel Tasman Sailing Adventures – new tour
‘Sea kayak, stroll, seals, sail’ includes a half day guided kayaking tour from Marahau to Watering Cove through safe, sheltered waters passing beautiful beaches and islands. From Watering Cove guests enjoy a 30 minute walk over the hill to Anchorage, taking in amazing views at the lookout. Guests then join their sailing tour and observe the playful antics of NZ fur seals before catching the sea breeze sailing to Kaiteriteri. The minimum age is 14 years. Retail rate NZ$214 per person.


Raetihi Lodge - refurbishment
Over the winter months Raetihi Lodge has been closed for refurbishment to make way for some exciting new developments, including a floating pontoon to enable easier access, additional car parking and new health spa facilities.
Re-opening on 15 October 2014, the Lodge has also purchased a boat in time for the summer season and will be running its own transfer service from Torea and Te Mehia to the Lodge.
In conjunction with the Marlborough Tour Company, Raetihi Lodge has developed a Marlborough Airport to Raetihi Lodge package. Guests are met at Marlborough Airport and transferred to Havelock in time for lunch at the Slip Inn Café at the Havelock marina. At 1.30pm they board the Greenshell Mussel Cruise through the stunning Pelorus and Kenepuru Sounds. Visitors can learn how and why mussels grow so well in the Sounds while enjoying freshly steamed mussels and a glass of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, before being dropped off at Raetihi Lodge.
Beachcomber Cruises – new product
Beachcomber Cruises has a new 'lodge to lodge' cruise and walk product ideal for those wanting to walk the Queen Charlotte Track and experience the lodges that make this track so unique.
Departing Picton daily at 8am (October-April) or 9am, cruise the Marlborough Sounds before commencing a 12.7km walk from Furneaux Lodge, finishing 3-4.5 hours later at Punga Cove Resort. Guests can enjoy a relaxing lunch or swim before heading back to Picton at approximately 4.30pm.

Canterbury Trails – new product
Canterbury Trails have a new and exciting transfer option between Christchurch and Queenstown.  This is ideal for families or a group of friends travelling together who do not want to drive but do not want to sit on a large coach.  This single day option allows the Canterbury Trails guide to make suggested stops at different places along the way.  This transfer is a slightly cheaper option than the Short Hop01 but with the same high standard of service.  Lunch and morning/afternoon tea are not included and there is a minimum of 4 passengers required.


Thunder Jet – price changes
Thunder Jet is increasing their prices for the upcoming summer season.
