New gourmet food tours in Auckland and Wellington

These privately guided gourmet tasting tours introduce some of the newest and finest eateries in both Auckland and Wellington and give participants a real sense of the local 'urban vibe'.

Adventure Capital – two new bike tours

Adventure Capital has released two new guided bike tours.
Auckland City Discovery Tour – this privately guided tour takes in some of Auckland’s most famous sights, as well as plenty of hidden gems. E-bikes or standard bikes can be provided for this tour.
Wellington Waterfront – a fun and interesting way to discover Wellington and learn about the heritage, creativity and culture of New Zealand’s compact capital city. Private guide, bike hire and light refreshments are included. 


New tours to Waitomo with Bush and Beach

Caves and Kiwi

Join Bush and Beach for a full day small-group tour to Waitomo. Spend 90 minutes underground in the Ruakuri Caves, then take a 45-minute guided forest walk around the Ruakuri Valley. Followed by a BBQ lunch at a local farm. The day culminates with a visit to the Otorohanga Kiwi House before returning to Auckland.

Waitomo Experience with Black Water Rafting

Join Bush and Beach for an unforgettable adventure inside Waitomo’s spellbinding cave system. Equipped with a wetsuit and inner tube raft, clamber down underground waterfalls and glide serenely along an underground river as you enjoy the glow worm show on the vaulted limestone galleries above. This is followed with a BBQ lunch and culminates with a visit to the Otorohanga Kiwi House before returning to Auckland.

Major makeover for Holiday Inn Auckland Airport

Holiday Inn Auckland Airport will undergo a full refurbishment of all public spaces, starting next month.
The three-million-dollar redevelopment will transform the restaurant and bar, function rooms, hotel lobby, reception and swimming pool. The redevelopment is scheduled for completion in January 2018.

InterCity shuttle links Palmerston North Airport

A new InterCity bus service launched yesterday, connecting Palmerston North Airport to the rest of the company’s long distance bus network. InterCity bus services between
Wellington and New Plymouth, among
others, will be linked with Palmerston North Airport via The Square in Palmerston North city.


Bronte Country Estate changes ownership

New owners, Alison and Ian Metcalf, intend to continue the Nelson region lodge in its current format for the coming season with no change in the current 2017-18 rate structure.

Shorter kayaking options in Abel Tasman National Park

Adele Island Birdsong and Seals - guided sea kayaking for the discerning, less paddling but in the two hours you see the icons of Abel Tasman National Park.
Kaiteriteri Highlights - guided sea kayaking for emerging markets and less confident paddlers. Full training and then 30 minutes on the water, time to experience kayaking and get some great photos. All in sheltered waters.
Both of these trips can be combined with other cruise or walk experiences in the park.



The Helicopter Line – Tasman Glacier Mt Cook Heli Hike

Witness the beauty of the Tasman Glacier lake and the stunning ice formations from the helicopter as you fly over the spectacular Tasman Glacier. Once you descend and step foot onto the ice you will encounter fresh alpine air as your heli hike guide introduces you to the world of the Tasman Glacier. Allow 3.5 hours.



Fiordland Discovery Winter Cruises

Fiordland Discovery will be offering Winter overnight cruises on Milford Sound. These cruises will start on the 18th of July 2017 for the season, and will run on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

New coach-cruise-helicopter option from Milford Sound Select

Get picked up from your accommodation and driven to Milford Sound on a comfortable coach, including commentary and photo stops. Then take a scenic cruise on Milford Sound, before returning via helicopter to Queenstown, landing on a glacier en route. You are then transported back to your accommodation.
