TakeMe2NewZealand launches new cricket product

TakeMe2NewZealand has teamed up with former Black Caps player Jacob Oram and New Zealand Community Trust Cricket Centre, to create a unique sports tourism product targeting visiting school groups and corporate groups from cricket-playing nations.

The sporting product will have a 4 hour coaching session with Jacob Oram at NZCT Cricket Centre followed by an opportunity for visitors to mix informally with the cricketer. TakeMe2NewZealand will also organise a cricket match for the groups with a local team.

The Palmerston North-based New Zealand Community Cricket Centre’s grass indoor training facility is a world-first. Oram, who manages the Centre says, “Having a training facility that mirrors the real playing environment protected from nature’s elements, helps players to hone their skills year-round. Having real grass rather than artificial turf puts less stress on bowlers’ legs”.
