Home to a unique ocean environment with an astonishing variety of marine life including whales, dolphins, seals and albatross, Kaikoura provides an unforgettable location to experience eco-tourism at its best.
Known as the Garden City, Christchurch is at the heart of the Canterbury region. Neighbouring towns add to the serenity, character and picturesque landscape of the area.
Lake Taupo is so big that it's really more like an inland sea, and it's surrounded by even more natural wonders such as the stunning Huka Falls and the Craters of the Moon, where visitors will find bubbling mud pools and geysers. There are plenty of accommodation options nearby, handy to all the sights of this region.
The Ruapehu region is defined by three volcanoes that stand sentinel over a landscape of tussocked desert, rivers, lakes and thermal springs. With so many outdoor and adventure activities at hand, visitors will be spoilt for choice.
Thanks to the warm climate, Hawke’s Bay is one of New Zealand’s finest wine growing regions. But there's so much more to explore in this sunny region of the country.
